Desmond Tan embarked on his acting journey after earning an honors degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011. He made a significant impact in the film industry with his portrayal of a heroic rickshaw puller in the hit movie *A Song To Remember*, sharing the screen with notable actors Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh. His remarkable performance earned him the 'Rocket Award' for Most Breakthrough at the Star Awards in 2012.
Known as a leading figure in Singapore's entertainment landscape, Desmond is not only an actor but also a fashion icon, frequently invited to high-profile events by luxury brands. Beyond acting, he enjoys diverse hobbies, including Muay Thai and singing, which he has cultivated since his high school years.
Desmond's passion for music led him to release multiple singles and showcase his talents at Singapore Day 2015 in Shanghai, where he shared the stage with renowned local artists like Dick Lee and Roy Li.
