Simon Szabó
Simon Szabó is a talented actor, writer, and director based in Budapest, Hungary. He made a significant mark in the film industry with his debut feature, "PAPER PLANES," which he both wrote and directed. Released in 2009, the film garnered critical acclaim and was showcased at various international film festivals, earning multiple accolades.
In 2011, Szabó expanded his horizons through the SCRIPTEAST program, where he developed his project "I Bring Fire." He also contributed to Béla Tarr's film "HUNGARY 2011" by directing a short segment that year. His 2014 short film "WALL" received a nomination for the prestigious European Film Awards (EFA) for Best European Short Film at the Tampere Film Festival. "WALL" achieved remarkable success, being screened in over 50 countries and receiving numerous awards.
In 2016, Szabó's subsequent short film, "BEFORE LUNCH," won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Drama International Film Festival in Greece, further cementing his reputation in the industry.
