Sonia Evans, popularly known as Sonia, is a celebrated English pop singer and actress hailing from Liverpool. She rose to fame in 1989 with her chart-topping single "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You," marking her as the first female artist in the UK to secure five top 20 singles from a single album. Her success in the music industry continued as she represented the United Kingdom at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, achieving an impressive second place with her entry "Better the Devil You Know."

Throughout the early 1990s, Sonia amassed a total of 11 hits in the UK Top 30, with notable tracks including "Listen to Your Heart" (1989), "Counting Every Minute" (1990), and "Only Fools (Never Fall in Love)" (1991).
