Stella Arroyave, known as Lady Hopkins, was born in 1956 in Colombia. Before her foray into cinema, Arroyave was a successful antiques dealer, running a shop in Pacific Palisades where she first caught Hopkins' attention.

Arroyave made her film debut with a minor role in "The Human Stain," a 2003 adaptation directed by Robert Benton, which starred her husband. She further showcased her versatility as an actress by portraying Gina in "Slipstream," an experimental film that was both written and directed by Sir Anthony.
