Rachel Khan
Rachel Khan, born in 1976, is a multifaceted French actress with a rich cultural heritage, having a Gambian father who taught English at the university level and a French mother of Polish Jewish descent who worked as a bookseller. Renowned for her athletic prowess, Khan excelled in track and field, becoming the French champion in the indoor 60 meters and securing the title of vice-champion in the 80 meters. Her athletic career reached new heights when she joined the French national team in 1993, culminating in her victory at the French 4x100-meter championship in 1995.
In addition to her sporting achievements, Khan pursued academic excellence, earning a DESS in human rights and humanitarian law from Assas, as well as a DEA in international law from Paris II. Her passion for culture led her to a significant role in 2009 as a cultural advisor in Jean-Paul Huchon’s office. While balancing her responsibilities in public service, Khan has also continued to develop her acting career, showcasing her talent in various performances. Her diverse experiences reflect her commitment to both the arts and social justice, making her a dynamic presence in French cultural life.
