Reza Naji is a celebrated Iranian actor renowned for his significant contributions to Iranian cinema. His journey in the performing arts began in his teenage years, rooted in the world of theater. Even during his military service, Naji remained dedicated to his craft, taking on various roles.
His cinematic debut came in 1997 with the film "Children of Heaven," a pivotal moment that launched his career. The film's director, Majid Majidi, was in search of an actor with an Azeri accent for the role of Ali's father; after an extensive audition process that narrowed down 2,500 candidates, Naji was ultimately chosen.
