Whitley’s passion for trucks sparked at the tender age of 12 when he would ride in his father's classic 1956 Ford pickup. His early enthusiasm led him to stand at the starting line of races on Route 66, flashlight in hand, igniting his lifelong love for racing. Over the years, he experimented with various trucks but found his calling upon discovering an ad in Auto Trader Magazine that proclaimed, “Very fast truck for sale.” This purchase marked the beginning of his journey with the Farmtruck, a 1970 C-10 Chevy Pickup known for its startling speed.
Farmtruck and AZN engage in “list racing,” but their true thrill lies in “fishing”—enticing unsuspecting challengers into racing for cash by flattering their vehicles while playing down the Farmtruck’s capabilities.
