Larry Kane, born on October 21, 1942, is a distinguished American journalist, news anchor, and author, whose career spans over six decades. Renowned for his impactful presence in Philadelphia, Kane dedicated 36 years as a news anchor, making history as the only individual to have held anchor positions at all three major television stations in the city.

Kane's early career was marked by a remarkable achievement: he was the sole broadcast journalist to accompany the Beatles on their iconic American tours in 1964 and 1965, capturing unique insights and experiences that would later inform his writing. He has penned three notable books centered on the Beatles, in addition to a memoir detailing his own experiences in journalism and a fiction novel, expanding his influence beyond the realm of news.

After concluding his television career in 2002, Kane transitioned to radio, where he continues to contribute as a special correspondent for KYW Newsradio, sharing his wealth of knowledge and expertise.
