Herman Rarebell, born Hermann Josef Erbel on November 18, 1949, is a prominent German drummer and songwriter, renowned for his tenure with the legendary rock band Scorpions from 1977 to 1995. During his impactful years with the band, Rarebell contributed to the creation of eight studio albums that helped define the sound of hard rock and heavy metal.

In addition to his exceptional drumming skills, Rarebell was instrumental in the songwriting process for the Scorpions. He penned or co-penned several of their iconic tracks, showcasing his lyrical talent on hits such as "Rock You Like a Hurricane," "Make It Real," "Dynamite," "Blackout," "Arizona," "Bad Boys Running Wild," and "Tease Me Please Me." His songwriting prowess also includes contributions to well-loved songs like "Another Piece of Meat," "Falling in Love," and "Passion Rules the Game."
