Churni Ganguly is a prominent Indian actress known for her work in Bengali cinema and television. Born and raised in Kolkata, she developed a passion for acting during her time at Jadavpur University, where she became involved with a local theater group. This experience laid the foundation for her move to Mumbai, where she sought to establish a full-time acting career.

Churni's television journey began with roles in Bengali series such as *Debi*, along with Hindi shows like *Chhoti Si Asha* and *Umeed*, which were featured on Zee TV. Her breakthrough in film came in 2004 when she was cast by her husband, director Kaushik Ganguly, in the lead role of *Waarish*. Following this success, she appeared in a variety of films, including *Shunyo E Buke* (2005), *Sakaler Rang* (2009), *Laptop* (2012), *Shabdo* (2013), *Chaya O Chobi* (2017), and *Lokkhi Chhele* (2022).

In addition to her acting career, Churni has ventured into directing, with notable works such as *Nirabshito* (2014) and *Tarikh* (2019). In 2023, she continued to showcase her talent with the releases of *Ardhangini* and *Kaberi Antardhan*.
