Romy Gill

Romy Gill MBE is a distinguished British-Indian chef, food writer, author, and broadcaster, celebrated for her culinary expertise and passion for Indian cuisine. She was the proud owner and head chef of Romy's Kitchen, located in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, where she crafted a unique dining experience that showcased the rich flavors of her heritage.

In recognition of her contributions to the culinary world, Romy was honored with the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2016 as part of the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations. Her influence extends beyond the kitchen, as she has made numerous appearances on television and radio, taking on roles as a presenter, co-presenter, and judge on various cooking shows.

Romy is also a prolific writer, contributing her insights to both national and international outlets such as The New York Times, The Sunday Times, and The Daily Telegraph. She has authored two acclaimed cookbooks: "Zaika: Vegan Recipes from India," released in September 2019, and "On The Himalayan Trail: Recipes and Stories from Kashmir to Ladakh," which hit the shelves in Spring 2022. Through her work, Romy continues to inspire food lovers around the globe with her innovative approach to traditional Indian cooking.
