Bill Frisell
William Richard Frisell is a renowned American jazz guitarist who gained recognition in the 1980s through his work with ECM Records, both as a session musician and a bandleader. He became a significant figure in the Downtown Scene of New York City, where he developed a strong collaborative relationship with composer and saxophonist John Zorn. Frisell was also an integral member of drummer Paul Motian's ensembles, contributing to the group's sound from the early 1980s until Motian's passing in 2011.
