Romy Croquet Mars was born in 2006 into a lineage of cinematic and musical royalty. She is the daughter of Sofia Coppola, the Academy Award-winning director of *Lost in Translation*, and Thomas Mars, frontman of the acclaimed indie band Phoenix. Her grandparents on her mother’s side are legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and documentarian Eleanor Coppola, placing Romy at the heart of a celebrated artistic dynasty.
In 2023, Romy captured public attention with a candid TikTok video that quickly went viral. In it, she casually mentioned attempting to rent a helicopter to visit a friend—an anecdote that led to a punishment from her parents.
