Catherine Scorsese (April 16, 1912 – January 6, 1997) was a celebrated American actress and the matriarch of the renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Of Italian heritage, Catherine often portrayed the quintessential Italian mother in her roles, reflecting her own experiences and cultural background. She gained notable recognition for her performance as Mrs. DeVito, the mother of Tommy, in the iconic film Goodfellas, which was directed by her son.
