When wealthy patriarch Inugami Sahei dies, his complex will reveals that all his assets will go to Tamayo, the granddaughter of a man he owes a debt to, provided she marries one of his daughters' sons. Each daughter—Matsuko, Takeko, and Umeko—has different backgrounds, complicating family dynamics. Sensing impending trouble, Furudate's assistant consults private detective Kindaichi Kosuke. As tensions rise, a series of murders plague the clan, prompting Kindaichi to unravel secrets and motives lurking beneath the surface of this wealthy family.
