After moving into his late grandfather's home, young Jack discovers he has inherited a remarkable companion—Skipper, a talking dog. Together, they uncover a thrilling secret: Grandpa concealed a valuable Spanish treasure in their town. Teaming up with three resourceful neighborhood kids—a goth girl, a socialite, and a prankster—Jack embarks on an adventurous treasure hunt, guided by Skipper's wit. However, they must stay one step ahead of a group of clumsy thieves determined to snatch the treasure for themselves. The quest for riches becomes a race against time and mischief.
