Al Fountain, a middle-aged electrical engineer grappling with a mid-life crisis, opts to prolong his return from a business trip. Renting a car, he sets off in search of a nostalgic childhood lake. Along the way, he encounters Kid, a carefree young man whose infectious spirit leads Al to break free from the monotony of his daily existence. Through their unexpected friendship, Al begins to rediscover joy and embrace the adventures life has to offer. As their journey unfolds, Al learns the importance of living in the moment and reconnecting with his true self.
