As Geoffrey's life stabilizes, Valentine reappears, expressing regret over their past. In a fierce confrontation, Miriam stands her ground against Valentine. Amidst the turmoil, Geoffrey’s decision to relocate to his club leads to a sobering conversation with Valentine’s husband, who warns him of the folly in abandoning Miriam.
