A scientist finds himself plagued by unsettling dreams in which a shadowy tribunal has marked him for death for an unknown transgression, and he fears that his wife and friends are in on the plot. As the line between his dreams and waking life begins to blur, he becomes increasingly uncertain about what is real and what is merely a figment of his troubled mind.
