Kelly Ernswiler, an eccentric teenager passionate about war reenactments, spends his time strategizing with his friend Bart. Juggling the pressures of school, including a relentless bully, he also navigates the challenges of home life, where his father battles drug addiction. Things take a turn when he develops feelings for Tabby, Bart's beautiful older sister who is about to get married. As Kelly grapples with his emotions and family issues, he finds himself caught in a web of love and loyalty, forcing him to confront his priorities and aspirations.
