Sgt. Cannon and PC Ball manage the police department in the sleepy town of Little Botham, facing closure due to an absence of crime. Desperate to prove their worth, they concoct a scheme to commit petty crimes. However, their plan takes an unexpected turn when they attempt to pilfer a painting from a wealthy local, only to encounter a gang of actual art thieves who have just made off with £1 million in stolen artwork. Now, these clumsy officers must step up to thwart the criminals and reclaim the valuable pieces.
