An intrepid reporter delves into the strange devastation of an Illinois town and uncovers a covert government lab experimenting with radiation on crops. Teaming up with a dedicated scientist, she learns that enormous grasshoppers are responsible for the chaos. With a swarm threatening to invade Chicago, the clock ticks down. Will they find a solution in time to halt the impending disaster, or will this mark the BEGINNING OF THE END? Tension mounts as they race against nature's monstrous creations.
