Rookies in Burma (1943)

Amidst the dense jungles of Burma, U.S. Army Privates Jerry Miles and Mike Strager find themselves stuck with menial KP duties. Their fortunes change when they are captured by Japanese forces and taken to a prison camp, where they reunite with their beleaguered Sergeant Burke. Seizing an opportunity, the trio escapes and makes their way to a nearby village, where they encounter American showgirls Janie and Connie, who have fled Shanghai. Together, they commandeer an elephant and set off on a daring journey toward India.
