Kennedy, Harry Belafonte, and Nina Simone, and had notable marriages to Hugh Masekela and Stokely Carmichael. Mika Kaurismäki's documentary delves into Makeba's extraordinary five-decade career, featuring rare archival performances and interviews with peers, painting a vivid portrait of her impactful legacy. Makeba passed away in November 2008, after a concert in Italy.
