Set against the backdrop of the Second Anglo-Boer War in 1901 South Africa, a battle-scarred General stumbles upon a humble dwelling, seeking shelter with a woman and her young daughter. As he recuperates, he senses an unsettling mystery surrounding his hosts, especially the enigmatic girl. Gradually, the General uncovers the unsettling truth behind their invitation and the extraordinary lengths they have gone to survive alone amidst the chaos of war. Tensions rise as pasts collide and hidden motives come to light, challenging his perceptions of safety and humanity.
