After their breakup, Anna and Russ's cherished dog Merv seems to lose his zest for life, prompting the couple to navigate an uncomfortable co-parenting situation. In an effort to lift Merv's spirits, Russ decides to take him on a much-needed trip to Florida, but Anna arrives unexpectedly. As Merv begins to regain his energy, it becomes clear that mending their dog's heart might just rekindle some old feelings between Anna and Russ.
