In "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," New York City faces chaos as enormous robots launch an assault. To combat the threat, the daring aviator known as "Sky Captain" deploys his private air force. Meanwhile, his former flame, journalist Polly Perkins, is on the trail of vanishing scientists. Convinced that the robot assaults are tied to the missing individuals, Sky Captain joins forces with Polly. Their adventure takes them to the Himalayas, where they aim to uncover the secrets of the enigmatic Dr. Totenkopf, the genius orchestrating the robotic menace.
