Leo Kohlmeyer, a chatty feline, unexpectedly comes into a fortune of $5 million after his owner passes away. He moves in with the owner's in-laws, where the couple's kids, Bart and Veronica, discover his remarkable ability to speak. Meanwhile, a clumsy yet cunning couple, the Rigsbys, hatch a scheme to abduct Leo in a bid to snatch his inheritance for themselves. As the children and their beloved cat navigate the chaos, they must outsmart the Rigsbys and protect their newfound friend from falling into the wrong hands.
