In 2000, Samsun. Uğur boards a minibus home. A sudden shudder triggers a flashback: his daughter Berrak’s voice, an eighties song on the radio. Back in 1980 Sivas, Uğur tells his wife Handan he’s been promoted to Divriği—another move. They have lodging now, at least. But neighbors warn of Alawite families there, unsettling Handan. Arriving, the lodging is still occupied, so they settle in a railway car. Handan grows anxious—neighbors, tracks, the delay. Months later, they finally move in, but fresh challenges are about to reshape their lives.
