In a bustling Canadian city, David, a struggling actor turned waiter, shares an apartment with his ex-girlfriend Candy, a witty bookworm. After coming out as gay, David engages in a lackluster romance with a younger coworker, while Candy explores her own fluid relationships. Their eclectic circle of friends includes a telepathic sex worker and a grumpy yuppie, all entangled in complicated liaisons. Amidst their chaotic lives, a chilling serial killer preys on women in the city, adding a dark layer to their already tumultuous existence.
