Jimmie Dale, a struggling director, finds himself working at a dubious acting school. As he navigates this chaotic environment, he becomes entangled in the owner’s scheme to swindle a rich young patron who has funded a film featuring the charming student, Alice Perkins. However, Jimmie has a plan of his own; he aims to outsmart the con artists by actually finishing the movie as promised. With ambition and cleverness on his side, he sets out to turn the tables on those who seek to take advantage of their benefactor.
