Richard Martin surprises his family with a new NDR-114 robot, affectionately named Andrew by his youngest child. "Bicentennial Man" chronicles Andrew's journey from a simple domestic helper to a being capable of emotions and creativity. As he evolves, the Martin family realizes that Andrew is far from just a typical machine, leading them to reevaluate what it means to be alive and the nature of humanity itself.
