Born in 1875 to a humble peasant family, Ciurlionis quickly emerged as a prodigious talent in both painting and music, creating works of profound depth and intensity. However, his life was marred by a debilitating mental illness that haunted him throughout his years. Despite the challenges, Sofija, a journalist and political activist, stood by him, providing unwavering support as he crafted over 300 paintings and musical compositions during his brief but impactful life.
