When Michel's son flunks his baccalaureate exam, it coincides with Michel's unexpected job loss after two decades at the factory. Facing a bleak future with no qualifications, he decides to return to school in a bid to secure employment. Joining him is his friend Gérard, who shares a similar predicament. However, the situation becomes complicated when Michel's son discovers that his father is now in the same classroom, leading to an awkward dynamic that tests their relationship. Amidst the challenges, they all must navigate the trials of education and family expectations.
