In 16th-century France, the Chevalier de Pardaillan saves the lovely gypsy known as Violetta, who is actually Isabelle, the Comte d'Entraigues's daughter and the target of his bitter rival, Duke Henri de Guise. As Pardaillan and Isabelle grow deeply in love, the fearless knight vows to relentlessly fight until Henri IV claims the throne.
