Inheriting the Cleveland Indians from her late husband, Rachel Phelps sets her sights on relocating the team to a sunnier locale. However, to achieve her goal, she needs them to have a dismal season. To that end, she assembles a ragtag group of misfits, believing their lack of skill will ensure failure. Yet, Rachel soon discovers that these underdogs possess an unexpected determination and drive to win, challenging her plans and igniting the team's spirit.
