Set against the backdrop of a vibrant Aix-en-Provence spring, Christian Lespinglet, a financially troubled gallery owner, intervenes to save Boudu, a homeless man attempting suicide in a canal. Christian's noble act leads him to invite Boudu into his home for a brief respite. However, Boudu's unpredictable and chaotic presence disrupts Christian's carefully arranged life, unleashing a whirlwind of unexpected consequences. As the two men navigate their contrasting worlds, the encounter forces Christian to confront his own vulnerabilities and the fragility of his orderly existence.
