His wife, Guler, suspects infidelity, while their teenage son Veysel yearns to abandon military academy for business studies. Ten-year-old Ali grapples with a bully at school and his new job selling chewing gum. Meanwhile, Hasan, Mustafa's estranged younger brother who leads a reclusive life after his divorce, is reluctantly drawn back into family dynamics.
