When ambitious Broadway star Mida King is discovered dead at Grand Central Station, Inspector Gunther rounds up a cast of potential suspects, all of whom have motives. Among them is Mida's dubious ex-boyfriend, Turk, who quickly rises to the top of the suspect list. Meanwhile, witty private investigator Rocky Custer, also implicated in the crime, starts to uncover overlooked clues.
