Zatoichi's Cane Sword (1967)

Zatoichi arrives in Tonda, a town plagued by gangsters and corruption. He deftly navigates a fixed gambling game, winning 8 ryo, which draws the ire of the local criminals who plot to eliminate him. Amidst the chaos, a blacksmith named Senzo inspects Zatoichi's cane sword and reveals it was crafted by his mentor. Senzo warns that the sword is nearing its breaking point, adding tension to Zatoichi’s violent clashes with the gangsters. As danger escalates, Zatoichi must confront his foes with a weapon that may soon fail him.
