Initially conceived as a civil project, its potential for misuse as a weapon of mass destruction stirs political tensions between East and West, threatening to ignite World War 3. The story follows astronaut Billy Hayes, who navigates a treacherous landscape of conspiracy and betrayal as he struggles to discern allies from enemies.
