Hank’s life takes a dramatic turn when he marries Joan, a divorced mother with two teenagers, Sebastian and Jessica. After several years together, Hank shocks the family by revealing plans for gender reassignment surgery. This revelation leads to a rift, with Jessica choosing to leave and Sebastian opting to stay with his mother. However, as Joan spirals into alcoholism, Sebastian decides to return to Hank, who has transitioned into Henrietta. To his surprise, he finds Henrietta to be a more understanding and supportive figure than he ever anticipated.
