Iori Igarashi, a dedicated radiographer at a general hospital, struggles with depression after his love, An Amakasu, leaves for Washington Medical University to further her studies. Supportive colleagues rally around him, but An's world shifts when she learns her father, the sole doctor on a secluded island, is gravely ill. Before his passing, he urges her to treat patients as individuals, not ailments. Choosing to remain on the island for a patient in need, An faces a catastrophic typhoon and a subsequent infectious outbreak. Iori, aware of her plight, takes decisive action to help her and the island's residents.
