Following the heartbreak of a stillbirth, Lori and her husband, Frank, relocate to Northern California for his new job at a toy company. Frank's enigmatic boss, Mr. Cato, reveals that his role involves elements of magic. Cato, a figure of significant power in the town, is obsessed with necromancy and believes that Lori possesses the secret needed to bring his deceased son back to life. As the couple navigates this eerie new reality, dark forces close in, testing their relationship and challenging their understanding of life and death.
