Tom Weston arrives in town to learn of his father's suspicious suicide, with the gun found in an unlikely hand. As the local Bank Examiner reveals the bank's empty coffers, Tom's true identity is exposed, leading to an attempted lynching. He narrowly escapes, determined to clear his name. Unearthing the deceitful examiner, Tom secures a confession that unravels the mystery. With newfound evidence, he devises a cunning trap to confront the real killer and seek justice for his father.
