Handsome young priest Don Giorgio leads a double life, caught between two lovers, Orchidea and Giulia. His desire for redemption leads him to renounce his affairs, but he meets a brutal end when he is murdered. Shortly thereafter, Giulia is found dead, her throat cut. Inspector Boito, who has fallen for Orchidea, begins investigating her as the prime suspect. The mystery deepens with Ferruccio, a curious boy who witnessed one of the killings but remains confined and drugged. His account could hold the key to unraveling the deadly secrets surrounding their lives.
