Ten-year-old Amanda dreams of having a dog, but her father refuses to get one. Instead, she discovers a young fox and, along with her friend Maggie, plots to keep it as a pet. Unfortunately, their furry companion attracts unwanted attention from a couple of clumsy Russian pursuers with mysterious intentions. As Amanda and Maggie navigate the challenges of caring for their new friend, they find themselves in a whirlwind of excitement and danger, learning valuable lessons about friendship and responsibility along the way.
