Hyun-ju, a gentle but sharp-witted police officer from a quiet town, is called to the hospital to handle Do-kyung, who rushes in with her unconscious sister—apparently stabbed by her abusive fiancé. Having survived domestic violence herself, Hyun-ju feels empathy—until inconsistencies in Do-kyung’s story start to surface. Her doubts deepen when it emerges the victim isn’t Do-kyung’s sister at all, and the real sister has vanished without a trace.
