Famed ocean explorer Steve Zissou is on a quest for revenge against a unique shark that killed one of his crew members. Alongside his loyal team, he takes to the ocean with Ned, a young man convinced that Zissou is his father, and Jane, a journalist who is carrying the child of a married man. Their journey is fraught with dangers, including encounters with pirates and haunting memories from Zissou’s past, notably his estranged wife, Eleanor.
