Mueda, a village in Northern Mozambique, became the site of a horrific massacre in 1960, perpetrated by the Portuguese colonial regime. In a poignant act of remembrance, survivors of Mueda reenact the tragic events, embodying victims, executioners, and onlookers. Brazilian filmmaker Ruy Guerra, originally from Lourenço Marques (now Maputo), captures this powerful blend of performance and personal testimony in his film.
